  I first fell in love with Jeffrey Cannon's art work at the Ann Arbor Art Fair 5 years ago.  We wanted to purchase a piece, but held off since we just moved and had to buy furniture. Well since then, he hasn't returned to Ann Arbor and instead just taunts me with colorful postcards listing his art shows  all outside of Michigan.  Hmmmmm – someday one of these peaceful pastels will hopefully grace a wall in our home… .

  Aren't these the quirkiest, most charming, whimsical animal photographs you've ever seen?  The composition is absolutely fantastic!  These modern masterpieces are by Catherine Ledner.   A portion of her bio reads, "She was born into a creative New Orleans family where no two walls were parallel and no ceilings were flat.  Growing up in a home full of dogs, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish and turtles lead to her lifelong love of animals" .

  If you live in Michigan, have a wedding to plan and would like the photos of your big day to be like no others, I'd highly recommend you check out Matt Pratt Photography.    I've known Matt for over 10 years and he's always worked for big corporations.   Meet Gina Adams-Levy of Northville, Michigan.  She makes fanciful flower stakes and magical mushrooms from used plastic flower pots, containers and lids destined for the trash.  These unique perennials require no sun or water and each set of 'petals' is cut and painted by hand.  The flowers have a protective finishing coat but will suffer from harsh conditions and should be firmly secured & handled with care.     These perky posies are just a small part of Gina's grand recycling .
