I just visited your Berkley location earlier this evening! I could spend hours in there. I popped in and was able to pull together a bag full of goodies for a 10-year-old’s birthday gift. I’m always able to find the perfect gifts for anyone on my list.

Not only does your store have the best and most unique gifts, the staff is unlike anywhere else. Last Thursday I needed to buy a gift for a friend’s new baby but was in a huge hurry to pick up my son from school. I called ahead and Sheryl (forgive me if I have the wrong name) had the teddy bear growth chart gift-wrapped and ready to go for me, with a smile. I literally ran in, paid, and ran out.
When I first told my husband about the store a few years back, he said something like “sounds like a place for women to waste money”, but after several experiences like this one, he has conceded that it is a great store.
Catching Fireflies has the most creative and unique giftware of anywhere I’ve been. I am an art teacher and an artist, and I am continually impressed by the quality of the items available in your store. Not only do I purchase gifts for friends (and for myself) on a regular basis, I often find myself coming in just to browse when I need “alone time” away from my children. I always know that even if I don’t purchase anything, I will laugh out loud at least once and leave with a smile on my face. Thank you for being this mom’s “adult entertainment!!”

Last year for Mother’s Day -I forwarded an e-mail from you to my kids – and somehow my 16 yr. old son got stuck shopping for me. He went into the Rochester Store – and they treated him like a king!! Whenever the daily stresses of life start to get to me, my place to go is Catching Fireflies. I enjoy my time there so much that if my husband starts to sense I need a break from him and the kids, he’ll suggest I take a break and go shopping at Catching Fireflies. It’s always an enjoyable, relaxing, fun experience. I love just to wander around and see what great finds are there!

Catching Fireflies is the place I think of first when I need one of those “last minute” gifts but is always the place to go for the “perfect” gift. “Kool Aid” purses, monkey slippers, sparkle nail files, yummy smelling candles, butterfly earrings, cool notepads and fabulous leather purses—That’s just what you would find in my daughter’s room alone! You can find everything from baby items to chic gifts for adults and kids. You can even find things for your kitchen sink! We love coming to the Rochester store whenever we can. Thanks a million! (I even bought one of those there too!)

Everything is so unique. I also reall appreciate how the store is separated by category, housewares, bath, etc. It makes zoning into shopping mode easier. Stay original with the hard to find fun things.

There are so many wonderful eclectic stores in the great state of Michigan. And, during the hard times it can be tough for a small business to make it. But, Catching Fireflies has something no else has got…FLAIR. No, not the flair from Office Space, but the kind of flair that brings customers back for more. Best Gift Shop and deservedly so. My niece and I love shopping at Catching Fireflies… it’s almost always a stop when we have our “girl’s afternoon”, because it is just a fun place to be. I love that there are so many fantastic items to choose from and she loves when the cats are there to greet us.

The first time he took me home to meet his wonderful family, he also introduced me to Catching Fireflies. I must say it’s an extraordinary store that satisfies every creative craving I endure. Every time we visit Michigan, I make certain that Catching Fireflies is in my schedule to visit, I literally could spend an entire day there. Catching Fireflies is the best! The selection is so terrific and unique that over the last several years I have bought gifts and cards for my mom, my husband, my sisters, my girlfriends, their newborns, and even a 90-year-old man of all seasons! And now some of those same people have begun buying gifts there! In fact, for my birthday a couple months back, I received a nice earring tree bought at CF from a couple of work colleagues.
