calling all chocolate chip fans

We've recently received a scrumptious selection of cooking & baking books at the Berkley & Rochester stores so I thought it'd be fun to share some of recipes from them.  Starting off with Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies…

I just made these tonight because I had a couple of bananas that were slightly over-ripe.  A nice twist on the typical cookie recipe.

1 1/4 c flour

1 t baking soda

1/4  t salt

1 t ground cinnamon

1 stick butter at room temp

1/2 c white sugar

1/2 c brown sugar

1 egg

1 t vanilla

1 c oatmeal

2 c chocolate chips

2 bananas

18 minutes at 350' on greased cookie sheet

 

And for even a fancier treat, you can incorporate them into a whipped cream truffle… (another recipe in the book)

And I would like to try this one next…
