spreading silliness
Inspired by the book, sneaky art and this surprise stone family spotted in our Ann Arbor catching fireflies courtyard this August, I decided it would be fun to spread some smiles of our own during our stay South Haven.
Filippa, our Swedish daughter and I collected a nice collection of smooth stones in-between building sand castles for Lolo to smash.
After sunset we headed to the local Walmart and picked up a few black and white paint pens.
We spent the rest of the evening giving these stones some silly personalities and also wrote little messages on the back.
Whenever we walk in town, we grab a handful of these stones and place them in different spots so they can be found by kids and adults of all ages who could use a little giggle.
This has been such a fun project and I hope to start making it our family beach vacation tradition. It’s funny how something so simple can make someone’s day brighter.
