Perk up your spaces with pink
-Judith Harris Solomon
"Pink used to be thought of as too sweet, but now it has taken on a
modern flair," says Krissa Rossbund, senior lifestyle editor of
Traditional Home magazine.
"We're seeing hot pink a lot. It
seems to be the theme of the day." So, to keep you in the pink, may we
suggest the following gems … some of which are hot (pink) and some
not.

• Made out of metal, this perky 12-by-12-inch ribbon-trimmed magnetic
board offers yet another great way to display your mementos. The board
costs $19.95; the adorable cat and flower magnets, $5.95 each, at
Catching Fireflies in Rochester and Berkley.

• Since it takes a whole lot of pennies to send a kid to college these
days, you might want to start by investing in this huge 10 1/2 -inch
tall ceramic College Fund pink piggy bank which is also available in
powder blue. Find it for $79.95 at Catching Fireflies in Rochester and
Berkley.
