2 week trade show tour
Ahhhh… after 2 weeks of traveling to 3 different cities, it feels good to be back in my own bed again – at least until next Wednesday when it’s off to NYC.
Our neighbor, Rebecca Wood was just featured in this month’s Home Companion Magazine.
I complimented her on the feature during set-up and she hadn’t even seen it yet! I couldn’t believe it. I happened to have the issue in my bag so I shared it with her.
I also got to catch up with my good friend, Michelle Allen.
She surprised me with this oh-so-cute hand painted owl canvas. I just love it. She is so talented.
Second tour stop – Dallas
Since all of my products are in a permanent showroom, I just needed to help the sale representatives write orders for my line.
There were also many other product lines in the shared showroom… like these funky readers from ICU which we’ll be carrying at catching fireflies this spring.
Third tour stop – Chicago (this is when they were reporting record low temps… like a high of 4F -brrrrrr!)
Being a slightly smaller show, it was nice to be able to hang out with my other fellow Michigander artist friends… Duane & David Scherer and Anita.
I also purchased a very fun line of mix & match charm jewelry called pick-up-sticks that’ll be available at catching fireflies in April.
In addition to selling lots of my handmade paper goods to stores, I found loads of new goodies for catching fireflies during my trips. Stay tuned for more fabulous finds!
Love going to trade shows and seeing what’s new! Your booth looks wonderful. Hey – saw you featured in one of my baby magazines recently. :) What fun!
